Dr. Colleen Buggs, a Harvard graduate who specializes in research and clinical work in endocrinology for Texas Children’s Hospital, needed to live close- she didn’t have time to make a long commute. Oasis Intown’s proximity to Colleen’s workplace means she’ll be living close and not dealing with long drives and traffic everyday.

"I was looking for a community that was, most importantly, close to work. Unlike most communities within the loop, I couldn’t believe how much space Oasis Intown offered. The selling point was that the homes here have backyards, which is practically unheard of for a location this close to downtown and the Medical Center. Since I have a dog, this feature was exponentially important to me.

Oasis Intown is unlike the typical gated community. There are common areas here where neighbors can interact. I love the park with the pond and swings. I walk my dog there everyday, and it’s very calming. The park is a place that pulls me out of the house. The quiet, water and lights are all just very soothing. It’s a fantastic way to wind down at the end of the day.

The homes at Oasis Intown have so much character. I feel like I’m getting so much quality for the price. Compared to most homes in the loop, I’m getting SO much home for my money. The house has unique features, an open floorplan, rounded walls and lots of character. The standard features are high end. It feels like I’m getting a custom home, but for only a fraction of the price.

This neighborhood is only four miles from where I work. I can’t believe more people haven’t run to this developing community. It’s like a hidden secret! My drive into work is against all of the traffic, and I have such quick access to all of the major highways, the airport and downtown.

I’m so excited about the new development going on in the community. If you don’t know the area, you may have preconceived notions about it, but it’s a really nice, established, quiet community. I never feel trapped inside Oasis Intown’s gates; I walk my dog around the neighborhood every evening. I feel like I’m part of the community and am comfortable here.

I’m truly happy with the investment that I’ve made here. I’ve done things with the house that I think will add to its value, like painting accent walls and adding texture throughout the home and landscaping outside. Plus with the lightrail being built just outside our gate and the developing community, I expect the appreciation rate of my home to skyrocket.

Oasis Intown lends itself to easy access and really shows off a part of Houston that’s growing and developing. I have a nice piece of property here that didn’t cost me a lot of money, but that I consider a hidden secret. I love my home! "
